Following a full-body PET scan, my 24-month follow-up with my radiation oncologist showed no signs of any returning cancer.
Although I didn’t think there was any more cancer stepping up, I still harbored lingering “what-ifs” that often did bother my sleep. I simply did what I was told to do, didn’t do what I was told not to do, and went on about my life. Most days I just got too busy living that particular day for a cancer concern to occur.
I go back in 6 months - just a CT scan this time, followed by another a year from now. So don’t fret. I have other 81-years old issues to deal with. Don’t we all?
I am very blessed with good genes and a wonderful spiritual life that has no space left for worry.
